How to Order

The basis for this piece of wood art begins with a magnificent piece of Claro Black Walnut (Juglans Hindsii) that creates the top for this work of art. This large piece of Claro Black Walnut is resawn to create two reversed slabs that lie side-by-side. The slabs are held in place by a series of sliding dovetails.

The table base is fabricated from Adirondack black cherry (Prunus serotina) and ebonized to complement the tabletop. Wedged mortise and tenon joints are used throughout to add strength and stability to the table.

The table is hand finished with a durable oil-varnish to highlight the natural color and protect the beautiful character of the Black Walnut timber while giving the table a warm feeling to the touch.
