This beautiful bench/coffee table is hand crafted from Siberian Elm, and Hard Maple with a Tung Oil Varnish.

Henry Moore is P. Morrow’s favorite sculptor. His work inspired this bench / coffee table. Visual interest is in the negative spaces as well as the positive shapes. The top has a bevel edge that is also reflected in selected bevels on the leg shapes. The bulges and curves of the legs work with each other to give an interesting design from any viewpoint.

One of several benches I’ve made that also functions as a coffee table. A bench and coffee table can be the same height and with proper underside braces has the strength for seating. The two braces are joined to the legs with hand-cut dovetails.
