The concept of this ‘charm’ table is much like that of a charm bracelet - each layer represents an important part of one’s life strung together.

With this particular table, the feet represent a solid foundation growing up in Iowa with a college layer then added on.

The round element is the camera eye representing the 1st woman photographer at the Kansas City Star and the next piece (megaphone) cone, represents 30 years as a producer/director.

The abstract skates sculpture is for high level ice dancing and the shelf represents cutting all this off and moving to the wide open spaces of Colorado.

Finally the next layer represents a career in woodworking, and then we make it to the top!

Made with Lace Wood, Poplar, Basswood, and Cherry, the piece is finished with Tung Oil, Varnish, and Milk Paint
