How to Order

This stylish contemporary table immediately catches the eye with its dramatic bent wood base. The creation of this table involves taking laminated pieces of wood and gluing them up onto a form. The whole form is then placed inside a vacuum bag and all the air is sucked out of it, thus making the wood bend down over the form. After 24 or more hours, a new section is set with glue. This happens several times to get to the final stage for set with glue one side. A flat base is added to the bottom to stabilize the bends, and then the top is added.

The Walnut used for this table came from a dead standing black Walnut, estimated to be over 300 years old. The dramatic affect of this piece, makes people stop and question gravity. Utilize this versatile table either as a dinning table or or entry/hall table. All types of wood can be used and the price varies depending on the dimensions and wood.
